Sawmill Operator at Södra Wood in Kisa

We at Adecco are looking for a Sawmill Operator for Södra Wood in Kisa. This is a consulting assignment through us at Adecco starting already on March 1, 2026, with the possibility of a permanent position with the client.

As a sawmill operator, you will be part of a well-functioning team and work closely with production in the sawmill's sawing line. The role involves varied and technical work where you make a significant difference to the flow, quality, and safety of production.

Working hours are 2-shift:
AM: Mon–Fri 06:00–14:30
PM: Mon–Thu 14:25–23:55

Job Responsibilities

In the role of sawmill operator, you will work broadly in the sawing line. Job responsibilities may include:

Work at the debarking station where logs are debarked
Operation and monitoring of the band saw line with 3 saw groups and 4 saws in each
Handling of 2 side loaders with associated equipment
Other production work related to sorting and the sawmill process
Ensure quality, flow, and safety in all parts of the work
Active participation in improvement work according to LEAN

The team consists of a total of 7 people:

3 in the sawing line
3 in raw sorting
1 substitute

Important for the position

Requirements:

High school diploma or work experience in the industry
Experience in industrial work
Experience with LEAN
Technical understanding and experience handling machinery

Meritorious:

Chainsaw training
Forklift training
Experience from the sawmill industry is highly meritorious
